TVET on Wheels Interview with Channel Africa

Tuesday, 9 July 2019

Andrew Zondi, the divisional manager of Arc Skills South Africa, was recently interviewed on Channel Africa’s show ‘Africa of the Future’. In this interview, Mr Zondi discusses Arc Skills’s unique programme, TVET on Wheels, and the impact that it has made on rapidly upskilling unemployed youth. He also discusses one of his recent house building projects, which happens to be one of Arc Skills’s proudest success stories – Simunye Trading Construction.

Simunye Trading Construction is company that was started by thirteen youth, who benefited from Arc Skills’s TVET on Wheels programme and recently won a contract to build low cost houses. Two of the thirteen Simunye founders are also interviewed on the show and discuss their challenges and how Arc Skills have helped changed their lives.
